First, congratulations to all of you who are taking steps toward what can be a productive and life-changing future. Like many of us, you may be facing challenges or barriers that others don’t fully understand — and that’s exactly why this program was created.

The Basics Education and Navigation Program was designed with you in mind. It provides guidance, support, and real-world tools to help you move confidently toward your educational and career goals.

An Education and Career Navigator is here to help you explore your future at absolutely no cost to you.

What You Will Gain

  • One on one guidance to discover your strengths and interests.

  • Support in exploring college, trade school, career or other options.

  • Help create a clear plan for education, training, or work after graduation.

  • Encouragement from someone who listens, supports, and connects.

New: Life and Essential Skills Program

 

Learn the foundation of life and workplace success.

  • Topics include self-awareness, communication, decision making, leadership, and money habits.

  • Weekly sessions with practical activities and reflection.

  • Certificate of Completion when you meet attendance and participation expectations.

  • Professional Reference may be provided by the Navigator or program lead for students who demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and growth.

Whether you know or are unsure about what is next or just want help exploring your options, your Navigator will walk with you step by step. For those with a career or education choice in mind, you can use this time to learn more and reflect on your choice.

 

Who Is Eligible

  • Youth ages 16-24 wanting a plan and support toward advancement

  • High school students in grades 9 through 12

  • Recent college or trade graduates (18-24) who need more exploration in their future education or career

  • Other eligibility as determined by host Navigator or host agency

Cost: $0. This service is completely free for students.
